Cole Wright, brought in by NESN in November 2008 to replace Hazel Mae, has not been renewed by the network. Initially positioned as host of NESN’s defunct SportsDesk, Wright was reassigned to host of NESN Daily, which has been plagued by an awkward match-up of anchors since its launch in August.
Subsequently, Randy Scott, formerly of WINK-TV/11 in Ft. Meyers, has been brought in as a freelance anchor/reporter. He is no stranger to Boston television, however, as he has freelanced for WBZ-TV/4 in years past as part of Red Sox Spring Training coverage.
