Popular meteorologist AJ Burnett and Fox25 have ended their relationship. Thursday night’s broadcast was the last one for Burnett, who posted on his blog, “I leave with my head held high and with so many great friends and memories from my stay.”
The venerable weekender is now left without a job, also remarking “I’m not quite sure what is next for me, which is both scary and a little exciting at the same time.” No word yet on whether this was a move by Fox or on Burnett’s behalf.
Good luck AJ! You will be missed.
Who will be replacing AJ?
AJ will truly be missed. He always had a way of adding humor into his accurate forecasts. Not many like him around. Best of luck,he’ll do great.
Now Kim Carrigan is out, too! Reported on boston.com this evening.
First AJ, now Kim Carrigan. Take a look:http://www.mediabistro.com/tvspy/morning-anchor-kim-carrigan-out-at-bostons-wfxt_b34649
It is disgraceful that successful and entertaining professionals are treated in this manner. As a long time Fox 25 morning news viewer, I was always impressed by the respectful yet fun-loving repartee between the personalities on this station. Since disloyalty is the “wave”, give me a surfboard. I am floating off to another channel!

You denserve better AJ. I Hope to see you back in the Boston tv market real soon. Wake up networks, this guy is good.
A.j. was and is an excellent weather castor. He always added a touch of “realness” on his forecasts. Something to be treasured on t.v. today. We will miss his sense of humor and We wish him and his family well.Hopefully We will have A.J. working on another Boston station very soon.
Nice to see AJ back on TV. WMUR TV 9 in Manchester NH. Great addition to the weather team.
So Fox 25 has done it again..Letting one of the best weather forecasters to come east in a long time. A.J. was both entertaining and a professional. Wake up Fox watch some shows and see what you lost..Wherever he goes I go you have let so many talented people go, hopefully Maria is next
