Carrigan Replaced with Mulaire

Kim Carrigan has officially been replaced at Fox25.  According to her Facebook page, Shannon Mulaire has been promoted to weekday morning anchor.  The popular newcomer to the station will be at the helm of the five hour broadcast, co-anchoring with Gene Levanchy.

Station brass are particularly excited about the move.  Station V.P. Paul McGonagle remarks, “I’m delighted that Shannon is joining our morning team.”  Also in his statement, McGonagle said, “Her New England roots and strong reporting skills are an asset to the station and we look forward to the new energy she’ll bring to FOX25 Morning News.”

Mulaire joined the station in 2010 as a reporter, then was quickly promoted to weekend anchor.  This is the latest in a series of moves by the Fox owned-and-operated station, though no replacement has been named for popular ousted meteorologist A.J. Burnett.
