WCVB has launched a substantially revised website. The new site, which is a part of a roll-out on all Hearst stations, eschews the venerable naughties-throwback TheBostonChannel.com for a simpler wcvb.com domain.
In an effort to retain name recognition, the website features a less prominent “The Boston Channel” name, though the effort to standardize branding appears to be in full force.
Hi I think the new http://www.wcvb.com is Great in my opinion it is much easy to read and find the news and Glad to see them add different sections of the state on there website I think it is better than there old website
BTVN I noticed that WFXT FOX 25 Website http://www.myfoxboston.com has a new look too it is quite different from there old look I wonder what others thing about their new website I do not like there new look
I see TVSpy is advertising a vacancy at WCVB for an investigative reporter/producer – is Michelle McPhee on her way out and (if so) can any insiders comment on whether her major snafu a while back may have been a contributing factor?
I also see on TVSpy, KVOA anchor/reporter Brandon Gunnoe has been hired by 7 News. From his Twitter account, it appears he is traveling to Boston now!
Looks pretty good….sister station WMUR looks good as well.
Where did all the Bostonchannel.com stories go?!?!? When they changed the domain name to WCBV it seems like all the old stories from Boston Channel did not transfer to the new site name. I am disappointed in that I had a few news stories tabbed to refer back to for a school project!!!!!! and now they are no longer available. Why would you just erase everything you published prior!!! I think they need to transfer all the stuff to the new site. That would be nice!!! HINT HINT.
