Former Fox25 traffic reporter Doug Meehan has landed a new TV job in Phoenix. The popular TV guy-turned-radio host announced late Wednesday night that he has taken a job with KPNX, the NBC affiliate in Phoenix, where he will co-anchor the station’s morning newscast.
After being let go from the Fox O&O in 2010 after a local news service between Fox25 and WBZ grounded the station’s helicopter, Meehan resurfaced at FM talker WTKK where he hosted a talk show. Following his departure from the station amid swirling rumors of a format change by owner Greater Media, Meehan teased a move back to TV. His first day working mornings will be January 14th.
Best of Luck to you Dougie, they, will love you at your new job.
we, did here on old cape cod.
Back in action” They, will Love YOU at your new job.
We, loved you here also on old cape cod.
We do not love him. He is probably the worst anchor our NBC affiliate has ever had!!! Hopefully they get rid of him soon.
I will never forget the opportunity you gave me by inviting me on your show as a psychic/intuitive/medium. You will always be loved and appreciated in Boston…having a past life as a Patriot who helped the locals. You did this again in this lifetime. Some people are gifts to the populace…and we are always grateful for a voice of sensibility amidst the day to day insanity.
Best wishes on all your future endeavors. Live your dreams!!
